Advice on the Debt Helpline and Ask About Money web chat

You can contact the Guarantee Foundation's Debt Helpline or the Ask for Money web chat when you have money worries and want to discuss your own money and debt situation or that of someone close to you.

The conversations are confidential, and you can chat anonymously. The advice service is nationwide and free of charge.

Debt Helpline (“Velkalinja”), free-of-charge helpline 0800 9 8009, weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ask About Money (“Kysy rahasta”) web chat, Mon-Thu from 12.30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your worry is. You can ask, for example, about

  • debt consolidation and arrangement
  • recovery proceedings and debt collection
  • payment default entry
  • the expiration of debts.

The advisers are employees of the Guarantee Foundation, and they are experts in financial and debt matters. The Guarantee Foundation cannot book an appointment for face-to-face consulting, and there is no possibility of call-back service or advice given by email.

The advice services can also be used by professionals, with or on behalf of their client.

You can also get advice from the financial and debt counselling services provided by public legal aid offices.
For your company’s money worries, you can get help from the “Yrittäjän talousapu” counselling service.
